Detailed content

Product Standard

This product is manufactured according to GB/T12706-2008 "Power cables and accessories with extruded insulation for rated voltages from 1kV to 35kV Part 2 Cables with rated voltages of 6kV and 30kV Part 3 Cables with rated voltages of 35kV", and can also be manufactured according to IEC, British, German and American standards as required by the user.

Scope of Application

This product is suitable for fixed installation in distribution networks or industrial equipment with a rated voltage of 35kV or below.

Operating Characteristics

• Rated power frequency voltage U0/U is 3.6/6kV~26/35kV. YJV medium voltage cable

• The maximum allowable operating temperature of the cable conductor is 90℃.

• During a short circuit (maximum duration not exceeding 5s), the maximum temperature of the cable conductor does not exceed 250℃.

• The ambient temperature during cable laying should not be lower than 0℃.

• Cable bending radius: not less than 15 times the outer diameter for three-core cables; not less than 20 times the outer diameter for single-core cables.

Selection of Cable Rated Voltage

• The rated voltage of the cable should be suitable for the operating conditions of the cable system, expressed as U0/U (Um) kV.

U0-Rated power frequency voltage between conductor and ground or metal shield used in cable design;

U-Rated power frequency voltage between conductors used in cable design;

Um-The maximum value of the "maximum system voltage" that the equipment can withstand.

• The recommended U0 values for three-phase system cables are shown in the table below:

U kV Um kV U0* kV

6 7.2 3.6 6
10 12 6 8.7
15 17.5 8.7 12
20 24 12 18

35 40.5 21 26
A Class System──In this type of system, when any phase conductor comes into contact with the ground or grounding conductor, it can be separated from the system within 1 minute.
B Class System──This type of system only includes the conditions of short-term operation of single-phase ground faults, and the ground fault time should not exceed 1 hour, but under any circumstances, the maximum is not more than 8 hours per year. The total duration of ground faults should not exceed 125 hours;
C Class System──Systems that do not belong to Class A or Class B.
